Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)/RN to join our healthcare team. The LPN will play a vital role in providing quality patient care, supporting patients with various medical needs, and working collaboratively with healthcare professionals in a dynamic environment. Duties
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Perform patient assessments, including triage, to determine the urgency of care needed.
- Assist in sterile processing and ensure adherence to infection control protocols.
- Educate patients and their families on health management and medical terminology.
- Provide home care services to patients requiring support in their daily activities.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Monitor vital signs and report any significant changes to the supervising nurse or physician.
- Document patient information accurately in electronic health records.
- Support children’s healthcare needs, ensuring a comforting environment for young patients.
- Assist in administering dermal fillers as part of aesthetic treatments when required.
Requirements
- Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of practice.
- Experience working with Trach/vent/Gtube a must.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic life support (BLS) certification is required.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with home care practices and primary care settings is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills to effectively educate patients and collaborate with healthcare teams.
- Ability to demonstrate compassion, patience, and professionalism while caring for diverse patient populations.
